The Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network has grown

The Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network has grown from a small group of cultivators in Desert Hot Springs to a major local, regional and statewide advocacy group

Those in the cannabis industry, either directly or indirectly, benefit from the existence of a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocacy and education, as well as professional and business development for members.

Known as the Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network, or CVCAN, this membership-based organization boasts more than 100 individuals and companies who are able to take advantage of all the opportunities afforded them.

This includes, but is not limited to: networking events, discounts for resources available from regional and national cannabis organizations, professional development seminars, the chance to support local nonprofits such as the Desert Cancer Foundation, legislative updates, and the opportunity to help educate local and regional elected officials and staff members on best practices regarding the cannabis industry and its positive economic development impact.

The Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network also boasts a robust board and committee structure, allowing each member the opportunity to be further involved in the governance and planning process for the organization.

Founded by cannabis entrepreneur Jason Elsasser in the early days of the cannabis industry, the Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network has continued to grow and mature, and serves as a valuable resource for members, elected officials, the media as well as the public at large as they provide respected, vetted information from a membership that represents a wide cross section of businesses involved with cannabis – from growers, manufacturers, labs and dispensaries to marketing firms, accountants, real estate agents, insurance representatives, lawyers and more, the Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network serves as a collaborative intersection for those involved in the industry, for those looking to become involved in cannabis, and for those simply wanting to learn more.

According to The Desert Sun, “The Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network, which started as a small group of Desert Hot Springs cultivators, has expanded into a valley-wide trade organization and lobbying group working to shape some of the most progressive cannabis-related policies in the state.”
