Situated amidst the Colorado Desert of Southern California’s Riverside County, the Coachella Valley is home to the new world of cannabis. Out of the nine cities that make up the Valley, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Coachella, and Palm Desert allow operation of cannabis businesses. For connecting communities through education and advocacy about the cannabis industry, Cannabis-related businesses created the Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network
Coachella Valley Cannabis Alliance Network, commonly known as CVCAN, is a community that provides a voice for the cannabis industry throughout the Coachella Valley. The organization is committed to improving the industry by ensuring that members have access to the most current industry-related information and enhanced networking opportunities to support industry best practices.
Membership
Both cultivators, trades, and cannabis service providers can choose from bronze, silver, or gold memberships to fit their needs and budget. The offered services vary based on the chosen membership plan. Membership offerings include entry to the CVCAN monthly dinner for networking, logo placement on the CVCAN website that would further be linked to the member’s website, local political representation of the member’s business, cross member discounts, and more. Close affiliation of the CVCAN with the CCIA and the NCIA allows state and national political representation and discounts to CCIA and NCIA events. The organization strives to provide relevant news, legislative amendment information, and updates for members interested in advocating on behalf of the interests of cannabis businesses in the Coachella Valley.
The 100+ members stand as a testimony to their exceptional dedication to serving the cannabis industry with effective programs in development, operations, regulations, and outreach.
To provide a wide variety of information to the local population of the Coachella Valley about cannabis products, cannabis policy, and the business of cannabis, Jocelyn Kane, the vice president of the board of the CVCAN, hosts a weekly radio podcast on the iHub Network called The Buzz. She also writes a monthly piece for Coachella Valley Independent about all things related to cannabis in the Coachella Valley.
To learn more about CVCAN membership, those directly and indirectly involved in the cannabis industry can visit the website to join and also find information about upcoming events.
