CVCAN Holiday Party and Food Drive 2024
CVCAN Board Member, Paula Turner, orchestrated one of the best CVCAN Holiday Parties ever this past December! Our “Night of Fun & Cheer” was held on December 19th at the historic Mary Pickford Estate in Desert Hot Springs.
The historic location was built by Mary Pickford, one of the most powerful women who ever worked in Hollywood and is located on the equally historic Bar H Ranch site. Visitors to the ranch included Bob Hope, Ray Milland, Bing Crosby, Ronald Colman, Tyrone Power, Joan Crawford, Lionel Barrymore, Irene Dunne, Eleanor Powell, Olivia de Havilland, Joan Fontaine, Gary Cooper, Marlene Dietrich, Robert
Taylor, Joseph Selznick, and Darryl Zanuck.
Team CVCAN pulled out all the stops to ensure that the event site was festively decorated and made sure there was plenty of Holiday music, raffles, a silent auction, a photo booth, canna-cocktails (with some help from our friends, Sponsor and member
Pabst Labs & St. Ides), canna Jello shots, games, and so much more.
Our sponsors generously provided plenty of 420 themed product giveaways for which we are extremely grateful.
Thanks to the generosity, support and infectious Holiday Spirit from CVCAN volunteers, Sponsors, and most importantly, our attendees, we were able to curate a night of laughter and joy. The memories will last long into the New Year!
We would especially like to thank Michael Bickford of Miracle Springs Resort & Spa for his support and making available the Mary Pickford estate for our use. You are the best Mr. B!
The event was well attended by over 100 guests including brand and dispensary owners, cultivators, manufacturers, influencers, representatives from a variety of service and financial providers, holistic health care providers, elected & city officials, budtenders and so many more. A great mix of folks. And not only did we have fun, but we got some business done to boot!
CVCAN utilized this event as an opportunity to hold a canned food drive to help fight food insecurity in our community and thanks to the generosity of our attendees, we were able to collect approximately 500 pounds of canned food items which were
subsequently delivered for donation to Food Now in Desert Hot Springs. Thank you for helping us to make a difference to those in need!
